It is still a professional-level frame at 365–375 g, so it is not a soft or easy racket – the lower balance makes it friendlier to swing, not lighter in the hand. Players coming up from an intermediate racket should also be honest about the weight before committing.

Defence.
This is what the shape exists for. The head comes round quickly, the sweet spot is wide and forgiving, and balls taken late off the glass still come back with depth rather than dropping short. Treat it as a racket for well-chosen smashes, not constant point-ending ones.

Improvements & Upgrades

The Vertex name carried over from the previous season, so the 2027 Hybrid is a refinement of the version that came before it rather than a new mould. The real work has gone into the heart of the frame: a redesigned diagonal double bridge with a more triangular geometry, intended to create a firmer connection between frame and face, spread impact loads across the edges of the racket and cut twisting. Curv:aKtiv – the frame’s plane geometry – has also been reworked to add torsional stiffness without turning the racket harsh.

For a control racket those changes matter more than they would on a power model, because stability on off-centre contact is precisely what you are buying. Alongside it, the face keeps the rough Top Spin / 3D Grain finish, with extra grain in the top layer for sharper spin and, Bullpadel claims, a texture that lasts longer.
